  1. Romans 12:12; Colossians 1:5, 24; 1 Peter 4:13; James 1:2; et al.) This is not a spectator sport. It is (eternal) life-or-death spiritual warfare. You are invited to share the joy! By the grace and enabling of Yahovah, we are doing everything we can to connect with and encourage others who are called to be watchmen.
  2. Ezekiel 3 New International Version (NIV). 3 And he said to me, 'Son of man, eat what is before you, eat this scroll; then go and speak to the people of Israel.' 2 So I opened my mouth, and he gave me the scroll to eat. 3 Then he said to me, 'Son of man, eat this scroll I am giving you and fill your stomach with it.' So I ate it, and it tasted as sweet as honey in my mouth.

Living Stream Ministry publishes the works of Watchman Nee and Witness Lee, providing the authoritative and definitive collections of treasures from these two servants of the Lord Jesus Christ. The writings of Watchman Nee and Witness Lee focus on the enjoyment of the divine life, which all the believers possess, and on the building up of the. Luke 12:41-44 Jesus says that exhortations to 'watch' apply to everyone (Mark 13:35-37).In this case, the parable that follows shows that the apostles have a special responsibility. In it, the steward in charge of the servants is a servant himself, teaching the importance of faithfulness in doing the will of the master (I Corinthians 4:2).Not only does Jesus teach the certainty of His return.

Get Involved! - Be a Watchman.

'If the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet, so that the people are not warned; and then the sword comes and takes any one of them, and that one is indeed taken away in his guilt, I will hold the watchman responsible for his death.' - Ezekiel 33:6

As watchmen, we are committed to getting out the Word of what is coming and how our loved ones can avoid being sucked into the New World Order of Antimessiah and be on the Elohim's ('God's') side, faithfully serving Him and ministering to the needs of others until The End, then rejoicing in His wonderful presence in His eternal kingdom forever.
The whole world is being set up to follow the false messiah, like lambs to the slaughter (cf. Revelation 13:3, 4, 8). To those who don't know Yahovah's ('the LORD's') Word and understand what's happening, the deception will be great; the enticement will be irresistible. The 'whole world' will follow the 'beast' and will perish when the Wrath of Elohim falls on his global kingdom.
If you are a believer in the True Messiah, believe His prophetic Word (especially His Revelation) and know what's coming, whether you realize it or not, you are a watchman, responsible for warning others. And if you have come all the way through this website to this page, maybe Yahovah is speaking to you: 'Will you sit on your hands enjoying your worldly pleasures with your loved ones and others all around you, until it's too late for you or them? Or will you warn them?' Please read the quote from Ezekiel 33:6 at the top of this page.
Even secular trends analysts are predicting terrible things soon to come: the 'Greatest Depression'; the 'Greatest War'; worldwide starvation, desperation, violence, and misery. (For example, visit www.trendsresearch.com.) But, according to Yahushua ('Jesus'), these will be just the 'beginnings of sorrows' (Matthew 24:8) - with unimaginably more horrible things to follow.
So again, what will you do? Will you do what you can to warn whoever you can, or will you just sit, impotent and useless in the Kingdom of Yahovah - until it's too late?
Our Mission
The purpose of this website is not to set up or to represent ourselves as a formal ministry or as members of any particular denomination, sect, or group, but simply to warn any who will listen of the coming holocaust, to encourage them to take refuge in the Savior Yahushua, and to assist others whose hearts the Holy Spirit is convicting to share the same calling He has given us.
Part of our effort to spread the Truth is publishing the entire contents of The Revelation of Yahushua the Messiah - a 310-page book distributed through Amazon - on this website. (If you haven't been there already, go to the 'Commentary' page.)

So, hopefully, you can see that our purpose is to get the True interpretation of the Revelation of Adonai ('the Lord') out in every way we can, before it is too late, not to profit financially from this ministry.

The main way you can be involved in this ministry - at zero cost to you, except for a little time and effort - is to refer people to this website. Email them links or give them the URLs to pages on the site, with your personal comments. Then, follow up with your personal ministry or by starting discussions of the 'end of the age' issues addressed on this website.
But, there is more, much more, that we can and are doing. And you are invited and encouraged to join us by doing the same things where you live. We are going door to door distributing flyers or witnessing cards and talking to anyone who will talk to us about the things 'which must shortly [quickly, once they start] come to pass' (Revelation 1:1). We are walking the streets and standing in church parking lots on Sunday mornings, handing flyers and/or witnessing cards to anyone who will take them and talking to anyone who will listen. If you want to add a little excitement to your life, try that! We are planning on (when we have enough money) aggressively promoting this site through newspapers and search engines. We are also sending out email letters and snail-mail letters, publish a blog on Facebook, and we publish a current-events-in-the-light-of-Bible-prophecy news blog on this site which attracts more hits than any page other than the home page of the site.

Yes, there is resistance. There is a price to pay in denying ourselves, taking up our crosses and following Yahushua. He said, 'Count the cost' (Luke 14:28). But He also said, 'Whoever does not bear his cross and come after me cannot be my disciple' (Luke 14:27). That's pretty clear, isn't it? If we think that we can sit around in our comfort zones while the world around us goes to Hell, then go with Yahushua to Paradise, we are kidding ourselves. Yes, most Americans don't want to hear that America is Babylon and is doomed to annihilation. And most Americans don't want to hear that mainstream 'Christianity' in this nation is phony. (And that's not conjecture. . . . That's the voice of experience. Watchman Bob lost his job and a 30-year career as a high school teacher and coach because he tried to openly share his convictions. Virtually all his friends and family members have turned their backs on him. But the few who have responded favorably have made it all worth it!) There is incredible joy in seeing one lost sheep get saved from certain death. It is a paradox, but the apostles were right: the more we suffer for sharing the Truth, the more joy and hope fill our hearts, until we experience the ultimate joy of being in His glorious presence forever! (cf. Romans 12:12; Colossians 1:5, 24; 1 Peter 4:13; James 1:2; et al.)
This is not a spectator sport. It is (eternal) life-or-death spiritual warfare. Get involved!
You are invited to share the joy! By the grace and enabling of Yahovah, we are doing everything we can to connect with and encourage others who are called to be watchmen. You can download and print out flyers and witnessing cards from this website which invite the readers of those flyers to visit this website. They are good conversation starters. If you are not comfortable talking to people about these things, just hand them a flyer or witnessing card! Or go door to door, placing flyers or witnessing cards on those doors. Start Bible studies or discussion groups using the Bible and the books as your texts. Or, you can simply refer others to this Revelation Understood! Commentary website.
Again, this is not a church or formal ministry. There are no denominational or sectarian exclusions here. The only participation requirements are to (1) acknowledge that Yahushua ('Jesus') is Elohim ('God') incarnate; (2) repent of our sins which separate us from Yehovah ('the LORD'); (3) accept, through faith, His free gifts of forgiveness and salvation; (4) submit our lives totally to Him; and (5) love others enough with the pure, unselfish love of Yahovah to get His life-changing, life-saving Word of Truth into their hands, minds, and hearts. Note that these are all issues of the heart. We are not going to judge your heart. In the end, Yahovah will do that. As long as you demonstrate that you are with us and not against us, you are welcome in this fellowship and ministry and to contact me with any questions, suggestions, comments or concerns you have related to being a watchman for Adonai ('the Lord').
Meanwhile, go to the download links at the bottom of this page and print any or both of the Revelation Understood! witnessing flyers, start distributing them, and start spreading the Truth! Also, if you will simply refer everyone you can to this website or include a link in your emails or on your own website to this site, the prophetic Word of Yahovah will spread faster, and perhaps this entire website will be turned into an interactive forum where insights, experiences, suggestions, and mutual support can be shared.
If you have any questions, comments, expertise, or suggestions for building and improving this ministry, please contact Watchman Bob.
Link to PDF copies of Revelation Understood flyers used by Watchman Bob: Flyers. (If you would like for me to replace the hypothetical contact information on the flyers with yours or modify them in any other way, just send me a message through the contact Watchman Bob form with the details. I will make those changes and send you the flyers as a PDF email attachment. Or, I will email them to you as Microsoft Word documents, and you can modify them in any way you like.)
The first flyer is pretty subdued; the second, for you whom the Lord has blessed with boldness, is more confrontational. No doubt, there are many who are more creative than I am and will develop great flyers, tracts, booklets, and so forth on their own. If you do, we pray that you will share them with us via email attachments at WatchmanBob@gmail.com. If they seem appropriate, they will be posted on the Revelation Understood! website for other watchmen to use, making us all more effective watchmen in the Kingdom of Yahovah in these Last Days.

Meanwhile, let's keep looking up, because our Redemption is near! - Luke 21:28

Yours in the soon-coming Messiah Yahushua ('Christ Jesus'),

Website Watchman 2 5 6 Commentary Verse

[Isaiah:62:1-7[1] For Zion's sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem's sake I will not rest, until the righteousness thereof go forth as brightness, and the salvation thereof as a lamp that burneth. [2] And the Gentiles shall see thy righteousness, and all kings thy glory: and thou shalt be called by a new name, which the mouth of the LORD shall name. [3] Thou shalt also be a crown of glory in the hand of the LORD, and a royal diadem in the hand of thy God. [4] Thou shalt no more be termed Forsaken; neither shall thy land any more be termed Desolate: but thou shalt be called Hephzibah, and thy land Beulah: for the LORD delighteth in thee, and thy land shall be married. [5] For as a young man marrieth a virgin, so shall thy sons marry thee: and as the bridegroom rejoiceth over the bride, so shall thy God rejoice over thee. [6] I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, which shall never hold their peace day nor night: ye that make mention of the LORD, keep not silence, [7] And give him no rest, till he establish, and till he make Jerusalem a praise in the earth.]; [Ezekiel:9:1-7[1] He cried also in mine ears with a loud voice, saying, Cause them that have charge over the city to draw near, even every man with his destroying weapon in his hand. [2] And, behold, six men came from the way of the higher gate, which lieth toward the north, and every man a slaughter weapon in his hand; and one man among them was clothed with linen, with a writer's inkhorn by his side: and they went in, and stood beside the brasen altar. [3] And the glory of the God of Israel was gone up from the cherub, whereupon he was, to the threshold of the house. And he called to the man clothed with linen, which had the writer's inkhorn by his side; [4] And the LORD said unto him, Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark upon the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry for all the abominations that be done in the midst thereof. [5] And to the others he said in mine hearing, Go ye after him through the city, and smite: let not your eye spare, neither have ye pity: [6] Slay utterly old and young, both maids, and little children, and women: but come not near any man upon whom is the mark; and begin at my sanctuary. Then they began at the ancient men which were before the house. [7] And he said unto them, Defile the house, and fill the courts with the slain: go ye forth. And they went forth, and slew in the city.]; [Ezekiel:33:1-19[1] Again the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, [2] Son of man, speak to the children of thy people, and say unto them, When I bring the sword upon a land, if the people of the land take a man of their coasts, and set him for their watchman: [3] If when he seeth the sword come upon the land, he blow the trumpet, and warn the people; [4] Then whosoever heareth the sound of the trumpet, and taketh not warning; if the sword come, and take him away, his blood shall be upon his own head. [5] He heard the sound of the trumpet, and took not warning; his blood shall be upon him. But he that taketh warning shall deliver his soul. [6] But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman's hand. [7] So thou, O son of man, I have set thee a watchman unto the house of Israel; therefore thou shalt hear the word at my mouth, and warn them from me. [8] When I say unto the wicked, O wicked man, thou shalt surely die; if thou dost not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand. [9] Nevertheless, if thou warn the wicked of his way to turn from it; if he do not turn from his way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul. [10] Therefore, O thou son of man, speak unto the house of Israel; Thus ye speak, saying, If our transgressions and our sins be upon us, and we pine away in them, how should we then live? [11] Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel? [12] Therefore, thou son of man, say unto the children of thy people, The righteousness of the righteous shall not deliver him in the day of his transgression: as for the wickedness of the wicked, he shall not fall thereby in the day that he turneth from his wickedness; neither shall the righteous be able to live for his righteousness in the day that he sinneth. [13] When I shall say to the righteous, that he shall surely live; if he trust to his own righteousness, and commit iniquity, all his righteousnesses shall not be remembered; but for his iniquity that he hath committed, he shall die for it. [14] Again, when I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; if he turn from his sin, and do that which is lawful and right; [15] If the wicked restore the pledge, give again that he had robbed, walk in the statutes of life, without committing iniquity; he shall surely live, he shall not die. [16] None of his sins that he hath committed shall be mentioned unto him: he hath done that which is lawful and right; he shall surely live. [17] Yet the children of thy people say, The way of the Lord is not equal: but as for them, their way is not equal. [18] When the righteous turneth from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, he shall even die thereby. [19] But if the wicked turn from his wickedness, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall live thereby.]; [Proverbs:22:6Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.]; [Proverbs:29:15The rod and reproof give wisdom: but a child left to himself bringeth his mother to shame.].

I The Military Watchman
https://hcex.over-blog.com/2021/01/geforce-now-mac.html. 1. He is chosen by the people for a watchman of their land, [Ezekiel:33:1-2[1] Again the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, [2] Son of man, speak to the children of thy people, and say unto them, When I bring the sword upon a land, if the people of the land take a man of their coasts, and set him for their watchman:].
2. He who heeds not the warning shall have his blood upon his own head, [Ezekiel:33:3-5[3] If when he seeth the sword come upon the land, he blow the trumpet, and warn the people; [4] Then whosoever heareth the sound of the trumpet, and taketh not warning; if the sword come, and take him away, his blood shall be upon his own head. [5] He heard the sound of the trumpet, and took not warning; his blood shall be upon him. But he that taketh warning shall deliver his soul.].
3. The blood of the one who is not warned shall be upon the watchman's head, [Ezekiel:33:6But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman's hand.]

II The Spiritual Watchman
1. He is chosen by God to warn Israel of his iniquity, at the mouth of the Lord, [Ezekiel:33:7So thou, O son of man, I have set thee a watchman unto the house of Israel; therefore thou shalt hear the word at my mouth, and warn them from me.].
2. The blood of the one who is not warned shall be on the watchman's head, [Ezekiel:33:8When I say unto the wicked, O wicked man, thou shalt surely die; if thou dost not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand.].
3. The blood of the one not heeding the warning shall be upon his own head, [Ezekiel:33:9Nevertheless, if thou warn the wicked of his way to turn from it; if he do not turn from his way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul.].
4.The equality of God's judgment is reiterated, [Ezekiel:33:10-19[10] Therefore, O thou son of man, speak unto the house of Israel; Thus ye speak, saying, If our transgressions and our sins be upon us, and we pine away in them, how should we then live? [19] But if the wicked turn from his wickedness, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall live thereby.].
5. The protection of the faithful and destruction of the careless watchman are seen by Ezekiel, [Ezekiel:9:1-7[1] He cried also in mine ears with a loud voice, saying, Cause them that have charge over the city to draw near, even every man with his destroying weapon in his hand. And they went forth, and slew in the city.]; [Isaiah:62:1-7[1] For Zion's sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem's sake I will not rest, until the righteousness thereof go forth as brightness, and the salvation thereof as a lamp that burneth. [5] For as a young man marrieth a virgin, so shall thy sons marry thee: and as the bridegroom rejoiceth over the bride, so shall thy God rejoice over thee. [6] I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, which shall never hold their peace day nor night: ye that make mention of the LORD, keep not silence, [7] And give him no rest, till he establish, and till he make Jerusalem a praise in the earth.].
6. All parents are watchmen of their children, [Proverbs:22:6Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.]; [Proverbs:29:15The rod and reproof give wisdom: but a child left to himself bringeth his mother to shame.].

The Watchman at Work
'I see a company,' shouted the watchman who stood on the tower in Jezreel. 'Take an horseman, and send to meet them, and let him say, Is it peace?' ordered the king. Again the watchman sounded the alarm. 'The messenger came to them, but he cometh not again.' A second messenger was hastened out. 'He came even unto them, and cometh not again: and the driving is like the driving of Jehu the son of Nimshi; for he driveth furiously,' informed the watchman. 'Make ready,' was the king's response.

The watchman in his tower on the wall of he city was a familiar sight in the days of Israel. Many of their cities were built upon hills so that the view of the watchman would be unobstructed.

As the watchman looked out over the horizon from his vantage place, he warned the people of any apparent dangers – he told them what he saw. Death was the penalty if he should go to sleep on duty and fail to give warning. His was an important post, and on him rested a grave responsibility. If he failed to sound the warning when the enemy came, his city might be destroyed and many lives lost.

Ezekiel, the Spiritual Watchman
The Lord showed Ezekiel a watchman on the wall, and told him that was his work. He was chosen, not by the people but by the Lord Himself, to warn the people, not of temporal danger, but of eternal damnation through the inroads of sin in their land. If Ezekiel failed of his duty to warn the people, their blood would be required at his hands. In other words, he would be guilty of murder -– not of the body, but the souls of men. It was a grave responsibility, which the lord placed upon His prophet. Why did he do it?

'As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will you die, O house of Israel?' 'It is not the will of your Father which is in heaven, that one of these little ones should perish' [Matthew:18:14Even so it is not the will of your Father which is in heaven, that one of these little ones should perish.]). God called Jonah to preach to Nineveh. He prepared a special fish and took Jonah down to 'the belly of hell' to make him willing to go to that great city. Why? Because He had more than 120,000 souls there that needed to be warned.

Christian Responsibility
Christians today all have a responsibility to carry the Gospel to the world, and are under the same penalty that Ezekiel was if they neglect to perform their duty. 'Outer darkness' was the doom of the man who failed to put his talent to use. God's great love for the souls of men compels Him to put a severe penalty on negligence, which might result in many going down to perdition. Many fatal accidents have been traced to neglect. Are souls being lost today because of your failure to sound the warning?

Parental Failure
The increasing problems of juvenile delinquency show a failure on the part of parents to discharge their responsibility as watchmen. 'The rod and reproof give wisdom: but a child left to himself bringeth his mother to shame' [Proverbs:29:15The rod and reproof give wisdom: but a child left to himself bringeth his mother to shame.]). Shame on the parents who fail in the use of the 'rod of correction' [Proverbs:22:15Foolishness is bound in the heart of a child; but the rod of correction shall drive it far from him.]). The land is full of child specialists and psychiatrists, but there is no substitute for bringing children up 'in the nurture and admonition of the Lord' [Ephesians:6:4And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.]). 'Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it' [Proverbs:22:6Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.]). https://free-launch.mystrikingly.com/blog/baby-workout-pro-1-1.

A View from the Watchtower
As the Christian soldier looks from the vantage point upon the wall, what does he see? Sin, crime, violence, and destruction stalking through the land. Dare he keep silent and let his nation fall? As he scans the horizon and sees, the approaching army of the Antichrist, should he not blow the trumpet? As he looks in the Book and sees, 'As the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be' [Matthew:24:37But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.]), should he not awaken the sleeper, that he might get ready?

The true child of God carries a burden for lost humanity. Not only is he warning the people, but he is prevailing before the Throne of God, that his mercy will be extended to a perishing world. God has ordained it thus. 'I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, which shall never hold their peace day nor night' [Isaiah:62:6I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, which shall never hold their peace day nor night: ye that make mention of the LORD, keep not silence,]). May God help us to faithfully discharge our duty!

'The burden of Dumah. He calleth to me out of Seir, Watchman, what of the night? Watchman, what of the night? The watchman said, The morning cometh, and also the night' [Isaiah:21:11-12[11] The burden of Dumah. He calleth to me out of Seir, Watchman, what of the night? Watchman, what of the night? [12] The watchman said, The morning cometh, and also the night: if ye will enquire, enquire ye: return, come.]). If the Christian saw only the night into which this world is sinking, it would truly be a dreary picture; but 'The morning cometh.' On that morning, 'the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air' [1 Thessalonians:4:16-17[16] For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: [17] Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.]).

The Millennium
After a brief period in the air the Lord will descend with His saints, to set up His throne in Jerusalem. Then shall 'the righteousness thereof go forth as brightness, and the salvation thereof as a lamp that burneth' [Isaiah:62:1For Zion's sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem's sake I will not rest, until the righteousness thereof go forth as brightness, and the salvation thereof as a lamp that burneth.]). 'Ye that make mention of the LORD, keep not silence, and give him no rest, till he establish, and till he make Jerusalem a praise in the earth.' What a glorious morning it will be when 'the law shall go forth of Zion, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem' [Micah:4:2And many nations shall come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for the law shall go forth of Zion, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.]). The desert shall 'blossom as the rose.' 'Then shall the lame man leap as an hart, and the tongue of the dumb sing' [Isaiah:35:1The wilderness and the solitary place shall be glad for them; and the desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the rose.], [Isaiah:35:6Then shall the lame man leap as an hart, and the tongue of the dumb sing: for in the wilderness shall waters break out, and streams in the desert.]). Saints of the Lord, give Him no rest until He answers the prayer, 'Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven' [Matthew:6:10Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.]).

The Necessity of Enduring to the End
The Israelites were complaining that the way of the Lord was not equal. They were laying claim to being the chosen people of God and expected God's blessing upon them. The Lord told them very clearly: 'The righteousness of the righteous shall not deliver him in the day of his transgression: . . . neither shall the righteous be able to live for his righteousness in the day that he sinneth. . . . all his righteousness shall not be remembered; . . . When the righteous turneth from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, he shall even die thereby' [Ezekiel:33:12-13[12] Therefore, thou son of man, say unto the children of thy people, The righteousness of the righteous shall not deliver him in the day of his transgression: as for the wickedness of the wicked, he shall not fall thereby in the day that he turneth from his wickedness; neither shall the righteous be able to live for his righteousness in the day that he sinneth. [13] When I shall say to the righteous, that he shall surely live; if he trust to his own righteousness, and commit iniquity, all his righteousnesses shall not be remembered; but for his iniquity that he hath committed, he shall die for it.], [Ezekiel:33:18When the righteous turneth from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, he shall even die thereby.]). These warnings very clearly set forth the possibility of a person's losing the love of God out of his heart and being lost after having once known the way of righteousness.

This message and others throughout the Scriptures warn the people of God of the necessity of continuing 'steadfast unto the end' [Hebrews:3:14For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;]).

While there are some who say that once a person is saved it is impossible for him to be lost, these warnings as well as many others throughout the Word of God let us know that only 'he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved' [Matthew:24:13But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.]). 'Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall' [1 Corinthians:10:12Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.]).

Let us take warning from the example of Saul of whom it was said, 'The Spirit of the LORD will come upon thee, and thou shalt prophesy . . . and shalt be turned into another man' [1 Samuel:10:6And the Spirit of the LORD will come upon thee, and thou shalt prophesy with them, and shalt be turned into another man.]). We are told that 'God gave him another heart' [1 Samuel:10:9And it was so, that when he had turned his back to go from Samuel, God gave him another heart: and all those signs came to pass that day.]). However, after this, Saul backslid to the extent that 'the LORD answered him not, neither by dreams, nor by Urim, nor by prophets' [1 Samuel:28:6And when Saul enquired of the LORD, the LORD answered him not, neither by dreams, nor by Urim, nor by prophets.]). Being thus forsaken by God, Saul turned to a woman with a familiar spirit (witchcraft) for help. In the end Saul committed suicide by falling upon his own sword thus meeting his Maker a lost soul. (See also [Ezekiel:33:13When I shall say to the righteous, that he shall surely live; if he trust to his own righteousness, and commit iniquity, all his righteousnesses shall not be remembered; but for his iniquity that he hath committed, he shall die for it.]; [John:8:31Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;]; [2 Timothy:2:10Therefore I endure all things for the elect's sakes, that they may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.]; [Hebrews:10:28-29[28] He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: [29] Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?].)
